Delon

Born November 8, 1935 in Sceaux, Alain Delon is a true legend of French cinema. Before becoming an actor, he worked as a butcher's helper. At the age of 17, he joined the Navy, and it was only once he returned to France in 1957 that he began his career in acting. He worked in film after film and shot to stardom in 1960 for his performance in Plein Soleil (Purple Noon). The French actor soared to fame for such major box office hits as Le Cercle rouge (The Red Circle), Mélodie en sous-sol (Melody in Basement), Le Samouraï and Rocco et ses frères (Rocco and his Brothers).

In 1978, he created his own trademark and formed the Alain Delon Diffusion SA company in Geneva. Alain Delon decided to live in Switzerland and, since 1985, he has rented a superb white villa with a pool and large garden in Chêne-Bougeries, in the chic suburb of Geneva. The actor loves it along the shores of Lake Geneva: when the plane lands in Cointrin, and when I walk down the long hallways between the runways and the airport, I get an incredible feeling of peace. He obtained Swiss nationality in 1999.

Alain Delon moved to Switzerland for tranquility: I come here to feel good. His two children, Anouchka and Alain-Fabien, also benefit from the Swiss quality of life, which provides them with an enviable upbringing and anonymity. Delon continues to run his company and travels frequently to Paris, where he pursues his acting career.
