Home > Tourist Guide > Table of contents > The arc jurassien > Yverdon > Restaurants and entertainment

There’s a good range of eating and drinking options in Yverdon, including the self-service diner at Manora on Rue de l’Ancienne Poste (Mon–Thurs & Sat 8am–7pm, Fri 8am–8pm, Sun 11.30am–7pm). Tunisian Orient Express, 22 Rue de la Plaine, has quality falafel and kebabs, while Crêperie l’Ange Bleu, 11 Rue du Collège has salads, crêpes and light menus for around Fr.10. Don Camillo, 10 Rue du Pré (closed Sun), has excellent pizza/pasta dishes; and La Fourchette, 8 Rue du Casino, offers simple but well-prepared French and Italian favourites. Intemporel, 8 Rue du Lac, is an upstairs café-bar popular with young people and open late nightly, with ten kinds of coffees and teas, plus salad meals. Restaurant de Champ-Pittet (024/425 65 14; March–Oct Wed–Sun only) is part of the Champ-Pittet marshland nature reserve 2km northeast of Yverdon on the lakeshore, and uses wild plants and herbs in its delectable organic creations that are beautiful as well as healthy.
